Drake “Started From The Bottom” Cover (#2)
Well I swear this started as just a personal project. I’ve been into hand drawn stuff lately and wanted to do a poster. I decided to mess around and try to come up with something based on the picture Drake posted on the October’s Very Own blog for “Started From The Bottom”…and then I just naturally came up with a cover a couple hours later. This obviously isn’t my normal style but it’s definitely a direction I’m headed in. I figure since Drake is trying something different with his single I might as well try something different with my artwork.
Yes I could’ve used the same font seen on the billboard in the picture, but I didn’t. This is a representation of the picture. Not meant to be perfect.

Drake “Started From The Bottom” Cover
Well finally the Drake drought is close to ending. He’s been recording his new album ever since Take Care dropped back in November of 2011…and just in the past couple days he has begun recording a music video for the yet to be released single “Started From The Bottom”. Now that this song title has been confirmed I went ahead and made a cover for it. I used a picture from Ruben Rivera’s post on the official OVO blog. Below is a picture from the video shoot!

Sometimes I just gotta do some artwork to put me in a better place before I call it a night. Tonight I did that and Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated project “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” was the subject. The official artwork was released days ago and I like everything but the text. I decided to keep the Polaroid style for my cover.

2 CHAAAAAAAIIIIINNNNNNNZZZZZZZ! The official cover dropped earlier today and it’s basically two chains. I actually liked the concept but decided to remake the cover and in my opinion, I made it look better. The official was a little too simple, but it wasn’t bad at all. I actually like it. Hopefully you like my version more tho.

Justin Bieber “Believe” Cover
“Lil Swaggy” is gonna drop this Believe album on June 19th. I’ve listened to the album quite a bit already…and honestly? It’s pretty damn good. If you think Bieber is just this teenage singer for little girls only who you’d never listen to….you’re being ignorant and missing out on some great music. Seriously open your mind up a bit.
My favorite tracks off the album are ‘Boyfriend’(swaggy), Right Here ft. Drake, Out Of Town Girl, and Maria. Maria is probably the best song on the album. He sounds like another Justin Timberlake…which is a great thing. Song is direct about that chick that tried to say he was her babies daddy. I forgot…As Long As You Me and Take You are 2 more great tracks….shoot the whole album. Go check it out when it drops!
The cover I did tries to show some maturity in Bieber, and uses more of a vintage style.

PHOTOS: 2Chainz in Charlotte
One of the hottest rappers in the game made a speaking-appearance in Charlotte, NC on Saturday before performing at Drake’s “Club Paradise” Tour. Gratefully I was able to be there and meet him. I was unable to take a picture with him, but I was basically toe to toe with him and got some great shots anyway. Check them out above. 2Chainz was a real cool guy. I’m definitely more of a fan after meeting him myself.
EXTRA: 2Chainz said he recorded a song for Justin Bieber on Friday night.
Meek Mill “Dreamchasers 2″ Mixtape Cover
I have alot going on so I can’t elaborate too much on this post but I hope you guys like the cover. Go check out the mixtape itself via DatPiff.com. Some of the stuff is really good….”Amen” ft. Drake and “Burn” ft. Big Sean came out a few days ago and are probably my favorites on the tape. Overall the whole thing is pretty good. Definitely worth a listen and download. Riz ft. Drake “Waiting Up” Cover
This song just came out today and Drake’s verse is pretty cool. Had to do a cover for it because @LitoStarr on Twitter requested it.
I recommend just downloading a Drake only version of this song if you want to hear it. Riz is just….whatever. I don’t even know who he is. Supposedly Drake isn’t happy that Riz is using this verse…I don’t know what the story is exactly. Whatever the issue is, Drake should just send his goons and “catch some bodies”. End of discussion.

Club Paradise Tour Poster
I’m a little late on this, as Drake has just finished the North American part of his tour…but he’s just about to start the European part. I wanted to bring it back to the Pre-Take Care era and base this poster off my (still) popular ‘Club Paradise’ song cover.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend any shows on this tour because he didn’t come to Charlotte. I’ll catch him as soon as he rolls through Crown Town for sure! Who’s going with me?

Lil Wayne- I Am Not A Human Being II Unofficial Cover
It was announced by Birdman around a week ago that Wayne has finished I Am Not A Human Being II and it will be out by summer. Of course, I immediately had to start working on a cover. In my opinion this is one of my best covers. It definitely was fun to work on and I love the outcome.
And obviously the background image is a sonagram of a baby. I decided to Wayne-ify it by adding some dates, numbers and words that have to do with Wayne and the who ‘not a human being’ theme.

This is one of my absolute favorite covers I have ever made. It was actually made months ago when the song was only being rumored to be leaking or coming out. The colors and effects just worked out perfectly. This one started the feel for the rest of my Take Care song covers.

I was messing around tonight with some shapes on Photoshop tonight and came up with an owl. That lead to a quick OVOXO poster. This took all of 10 minutes to complete so it’s no masterpiece but I feel like it still looks cool.

Another new Drake song dropped last night! This one is called “The Motto” and it features Mr. Carter! I believe this may be the “Untitled” track that was on the official track list. Of course, as usual, Im made a cover for the song.
I may or may not put together a set of a cover for every song on the album before 11-15-11…or maybe I already have and you guys just haven’t seen them yet….hmm.
