E.R. “Soulful Ignorance” Cover & Poster
I’m very happy with the outcome of this project. I’ve been working with the client for a couple weeks perfecting his vision and we finally agreed that this was the best work. I love going beyond just a cover and venturing into possible marketing techniques such as posters that match the cover. It’s cool seeing everything come together and it’s one of the reasons I love being a graphic designer.

“Society’s Contradiction” Poster
I’ve had this idea since the theater shooting in Aurora earlier this year. After the terrible shooting very recently at Sandy Hook Elementary School I decided I really needed to follow through with my idea. The idea behind the poster is that as the people of the world we preach the idea of “peace” and yet we fight over everything. It’s not JUST guns. We turn small problems into huge problems quite quickly. Something has to change. I don’t know how…but it needs to.
God bless those affected by the Sandy Hook and Aurora shootings. Merry Christmas.

After posting my “Shawn Carter For America” Posters some requested a version with a black a white flag. I didn’t want to use a black and white flag and say ‘For America’ because some may find it disrespectful. Instead I did ‘Shawn Carter For Brooklyn’. He basically runs Brooklyn.

“Still Spokane’s Most Wanted” Poster
Adam Morrison is one of the most different players to ever play in the NBA. He’s seen everything. He’s won rings, he’s played on bad teams, he’s played over seas, he’s been the top college player in the nation…the list goes on. Even though he hasn’t turned out to be the “second coming of Larry Bird” in the NBA, in a way Morrison is still a legend. Currently he is attempting to make the Portland Blazers squad. I have been a huge ‘Ammo’ fan since his days at Gonzaga, so I really am rooting for him to make the team. I’m still a major supporter. The NBA hasn’t been all that kind to Morrison but he’s a good guy who deserves another chance. He’s is STILL SPOKANE’S MOST WANTED.
This poster was completed partly by hand and the rest by Illustrator and Photoshop. Please do not steal, if you use this on your site please give credit. Poster like these take hours to complete. Thanx for taking a look!
“Lana”
This is more or less a random piece of artwork. I’ve had the urge to do a Lana Del Rey poster lately and started, stopped and started again on it. Tonight I finally sat down and played with some different things. I like the turn out. Basically this is random practice for myself. Lana rules.

Kanye West- The Black American Psycho Cover
So Kanye’s 6th studio album is rumored to be titled “The Black American Psycho”. I’ve been intrigued by this title for a few weeks now so I decided to come up with a cover. After searching Google Images for stuff from the movie ‘American Psycho’, one image really stuck out to me. It had a man who I assume was the main character of the film(I haven’t seen the movie) who was laughing or screaming with blood splattered on his face. I wanted to recreate this, but with Kanye’s face. I decided to add some scratches to the cover as well because of the crazy lines which obviously can symbolizes ‘craziness’, for a lack of a better word.
What do you guys think about this one? Do you think it looks like something Yeezy would use? I tried to make it that way. Kanye’s style is unlike any other rapper, so his cover styles can’t be anything like your average rapper’s cover style. Just let me know what you think! Leave a comment!

Football is just about back! The players will meet tomorrow and vote to agree to the new deal with the league…hopefully. This is really exciting for any american pro football fan to hear. The country’s favorite sport on every Sunday is about to start again!

I have been sitting on these covers debating with myself whether or not to drop these on my site. I actually sent the basic idea of these cover’s to Cortez Bryant Management a while ago…but as expected no response. It would have been nice to at least hear back from them saying they dont take cover design submissions or that they already have a cover or a designer. Oh well…we’ll see how my cover’s hold up against the real thing when it Take Care drops this fall.
And I have to say, these covers are 2 of my favorites pieces I have ever done. I love the way they turned out and they look official. I fully expect to see these on some of the Rap and Hip Hop blogs soon.
