Lil Wayne “Love.Live.Life” Poster
As anyone who knows me as a person knows, I’m quite the fan and follower of Lil Wayne. He’s influenced A LOT of my artwork and myself as a person over the years. Unfortunately Wayne hasn’t been doing well over the last couple days. Terrible news that has myself and everyone else scared and upset. All we can do is hope and pray he recovers as soon as possible. As a huge fan of Wayne I can’t imagine losing him as a inspiration and influence. He has his kids and family who he obviously means the world to…and that’s the most important thing. As a fan I can only pray he recovers as soon as possible so he can be with his family. I don’t NEED his music but his kids surely need him as their dad.
Like I said, prayers go out to Weezy and his family. Here’s to a full recovery as soon as possible! Love.

THIS IS NOT AND NEVER WAS OFFICIAL: Rich Gang “Tap Out” Cover
Sometime later today Birdman is dropping the first “Rich Gang” single featuring himself, Weezy, Nicki and Future. I slept on the idea for the cover and had to wake up and make it happen.
UPDATE: THIS COVER IS NOT AND NEVER EVER WAS OFFICIAL. Yes I have done some official work in the past but this is simply a cover for personal use or for people to look at. When making the cover I searched through images on Google and found the mask that I used….just so happens that it’s associated with some “Stompdown” group. Never heard of them until this cover was released and I never intended to use their logo. Sorry if anyone feels like this is “stealing” but it definitely was not intended in that way. By doing some research there are other places that use this silhouette and seem to be making profit off of it…for example if you search Ski Mask Movement a clothing brand appears using the same logo. They are claiming it as their own and I certainly am not.
ALSO…by doing some research I have found that the logo for “Stompdown” is the same thing/very very similar to what you get when you use the live trace feature on Adobe Illustrator on the below image…

…nothing wrong with that. That’s fine. But my point is that someone else could and is likely to simply “live trace” that image in the future thus recreating the same logo that “Stompdown” uses.
So in conclusion, I used the silhouette that I used because that’s all it was…a silhouette. I had no way of knowing but now that I do I am in fact giving credit to “Stompdown” as they claim it as their logo.
And once again, this cover is not and never was official.

Drake “Started From The Bottom” Cover (#2)
Well I swear this started as just a personal project. I’ve been into hand drawn stuff lately and wanted to do a poster. I decided to mess around and try to come up with something based on the picture Drake posted on the October’s Very Own blog for “Started From The Bottom”…and then I just naturally came up with a cover a couple hours later. This obviously isn’t my normal style but it’s definitely a direction I’m headed in. I figure since Drake is trying something different with his single I might as well try something different with my artwork.
Yes I could’ve used the same font seen on the billboard in the picture, but I didn’t. This is a representation of the picture. Not meant to be perfect.

The Weeknd Trilogy Cover Art
Mr. Abel Tesfaye AKA “The Weeknd” is undoubtedly an artist about to really break out in the near future. He just signed his first record deal with Universal Records, and he stays associated with Drake and the OVO crew. After all, he is the XO in OVOXO. His 3 super successful mix tapes released in 2011 will be re-released as a trilogy in November. As usual when something is announced; I do some cover art. Personally I’m extremely excited for the re-release which will feature new songs. The Weeknd is going to be a major name in music in the years to come. He’s seriously great.
Specifics about my cover art: I used camo because he’s often seen wearing it, and I had to use colors that have not been used in the previous mix tape covers. I created the camo background myself. If you look closely the camo is made up of “XO’s”. Also the actually picture of The Weeknd I drew on Illustrator using my tablet, but the idea was taken from the poster for his tour with Florence and The Machine.

Lil Wayne “I Am Not A Human Being 2″ Album Packaging Concept
Alright guys…so above is the updated version of my previously posted IANAHB2 cover. Made a few things pop out a bit more, added a few small details. I think it looks better now. But this post isn’t about the cover…it’s about what’s below this paragraph. I completed my entire concept for PACKAGING for Wayne’s upcoming album! This is one of the best things I’ve ever done. Keep reading below and check it all out!!!
NOTE: THIS PACKAGING IS BASED OF THE WAY 2CHAINZ “BASED ON A TRU STORY” DELUXE EDITION WAS PACKAGED.
So this was my idea for the back cover. Obviously we don’t have the track list, so I just put XXXXXXX for each song as well as the lead single “My Homies Still”. But that’s besides the point. Notice the alien Wayne on mars in the background. And I tried to match the cover as far as colors, lighting, etc. go. Packaging really all needs to have unity.
This is just the first thing you see when you flip open the cover. Simple, but goes with the rest of the concept and plan. Not much to this.
So above(Click to view full quality) is the inside of the tri-fold packaging. I feel this tied together the whole project. This is the first time you see Wayne’s actual face and it’s as ‘alien’ as can be. Again it goes with the rest of the packaging. UNITY. Like the 2Chainz packaging; the CD would be in a pocket to the right of the separation line on the right of the above image, and the booklet would be on the left.
Alright and lastly is my favorite part. I really would love to see this implemented. It’s glow in the dark ink filling in the LIL WAYNE and I AM NOT A HUMAN BEING 2 text on the front cover. Like Wayne’s black light tattoos as seen in the ‘I Am Not A Human Being’ video you couldn’t see this effect in stores…but rather at night when the real martians come out to play. It’s just a fun gimmick that’s not been done before but goes along with the theme.

“I Set Out To Be Me.” Lil Wayne Poster
These are inspiring words for me that I included in this poster. It’s what i think everyone should live by in a way. Who cares what other people say…you gotta do you. You won’t live your life to the fullest if you don’t be yourself and think independently. You love to skate and your friends play football? Good. Keep skating. You’re a girl who loves basketball and your friends like butterflies and rainbows? KEEP BALLIN! DO YOU. The only reason I do ‘DieboltDesigns’ and am starting a clothing brand is because I do my own thing. If I was scared to be myself, I wouldn’t have any of this going for me.
Lil Wayne ‘My Homies Still’ Animated Cover
Alright so this is something completely new for me. I’ve seen some GIF imagery-art for covers by other internet famous artists but nothing exactly like this. I wanted to try it. And what better song to try something experimental for than ‘My Homies Still’ by Weezy F. The new visuals for that song are crazyyy.

Lil Wayne “I Am Not A Human Being 2″ Cover (Nirvana Edition)
No secret that Mr. Carter is a huge Nirvana fan. A fw days ago, DJ Scoob Doo posted a picture on Twitter of inside’s Weezy’s house where he had a huge custom cover very similar to the one above(minus the LIL WAYNE logo and ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’ text). So of course I had to work some magic and do a cover. Someone else did one over on LilWayneHQ.com before me and it inspired me to make my own. Notice the extra tattoos added to the face(More than what was on original) and the tattoos on the body. I didn’t do arms because it would’ve been difficult to find pictures to match and quite time consuming.
ALSO….huge news! Wayne’s first single off ‘I Am Not A Human Being II” drops tomorrow! It could feature Big Sean….we’ll just have to wait and see! I’m pumped!

PHOTOS: 2Chainz in Charlotte
One of the hottest rappers in the game made a speaking-appearance in Charlotte, NC on Saturday before performing at Drake’s “Club Paradise” Tour. Gratefully I was able to be there and meet him. I was unable to take a picture with him, but I was basically toe to toe with him and got some great shots anyway. Check them out above. 2Chainz was a real cool guy. I’m definitely more of a fan after meeting him myself.
EXTRA: 2Chainz said he recorded a song for Justin Bieber on Friday night.
Riz ft. Drake “Waiting Up” Cover
This song just came out today and Drake’s verse is pretty cool. Had to do a cover for it because @LitoStarr on Twitter requested it.
I recommend just downloading a Drake only version of this song if you want to hear it. Riz is just….whatever. I don’t even know who he is. Supposedly Drake isn’t happy that Riz is using this verse…I don’t know what the story is exactly. Whatever the issue is, Drake should just send his goons and “catch some bodies”. End of discussion.

Lil Wayne- I Am Not A Human Being II Unofficial Cover
It was announced by Birdman around a week ago that Wayne has finished I Am Not A Human Being II and it will be out by summer. Of course, I immediately had to start working on a cover. In my opinion this is one of my best covers. It definitely was fun to work on and I love the outcome.
And obviously the background image is a sonagram of a baby. I decided to Wayne-ify it by adding some dates, numbers and words that have to do with Wayne and the who ‘not a human being’ theme.

YMCMB Sig
These 4 guys in this sig are YMCMB. Birdman(far left) and his brother Slim(far right) started Cash Money records years ago when they were making a name for themselves in New Orleans. They discovered Lil Wayne who ended up obviously becoming one of the best rappers of all time. He started Young Money and let his good friend Mack Maine(middle-left) become President of YM. This picture was taken by Derick G at the annual YMCMB Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. Really cool to see all 4 guys together in a picture at an event while they give back to the community they came from.
I feel like my artwork looks good in this sig. Deep colors created nice shadowing and lighting. I tried going for an old family picture feel so that explains the grainy/grungy effect. What do you guys think about this one? Success? 5 stars like Birdman’s head tattoos?
Lil Wayne Portrait Drawing
Okay so I haven’t drawn a portrait like this one for a long time. Last one I completed was probably done back in the 1st quarter of this year. So Im back in the last quarter of 2011 with this drawing of none other than Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.(Also know as Lil Wayne). Some parts of this can be much better but I feel like it turned out pretty good considering this is something out of the ordinary for me.
The neck tattoos were a bit hard to draw because in the original picture I couldn’t see them all that well. I didn’t want to just ‘wing it’ and draw whatever because if they were off it would take away from the whole piece.

Lil Wayne(Unofficial) Rebirth II Cover
So this album has only been mentioned as “in the works” along with I Am Not A Human Being II, but at least for me Rebirth II is already a highly anticipated album. With the right production Wayne could make a really good rock album in my opinion. I feel like this should be his next project to be released because I think his mind is more in the rock mode right now. Producer Detail said he has been studying the sound of Nirvana as well as Pink Floyd for direction on this album. Those are two greats choices because the punk rock-ish stuff is what Wayne will and does fit in really well with.
As for the cover, Im really feeling this one. I dont mean to toot my own horn but this is the type of artwork I feel like Wayne should be using for his music. The pictures used are from his recent Vibe Magazine photoshoot. What does everyone think about the cover art?

Drake- The Motto Cover
Another new Drake song dropped last night! This one is called “The Motto” and it features Mr. Carter! I believe this may be the “Untitled” track that was on the official track list. Of course, as usual, Im made a cover for the song.
I may or may not put together a set of a cover for every song on the album before 11-15-11…or maybe I already have and you guys just haven’t seen them yet….hmm.
